For some, the very name alone sets in fear. For others, they consider it home. And for others still, it is a prison.
Kurayami is where parents send their children when they can't, or don't want to, deal with them anymore.
Not all of them are bad, the students at Kurayami come in all types with all sorts of problems. Eating disorders, self-mutilation, mental health problems, troublemakers, addicts. The list goes on.
At this school, you go back to see your parents only on holidays. And most of the parents prefer it that way.
Students have some liberties, but it all just depends on their problem and how harmful they are, to either themselves or to others.
Kurayami is considered a dangerous place to those students who don't attend. Everyone knows to stay away. But then there are those who intermingle just fine with the commonfolk.
They aren't all bad, though. they have a lot of fun together at the school and find many ways to sidestep the staff.
Some of the staff, too, get around these rules, and some of them even help out the students.
