Personality [25 word minimum]:Shinya is a shy, withdrawn individual deep down, and hides it by appearing to be flirtatious and self confident. He has suffered from self-esteem issues and depression from a young age, which in turn caused him to self harm and take drugs. More recently he has taken to sleeping around as a coping mechanism. Around people he trusts, he is fun and lively, and is always a little quick tempered, and easily offended. He expresses his temper through violence.
History [50 word minimum]:Shinya grew up with his mother in Osaka, as an only child. Throughout his whole life, he never met his father, and was blamed for him leaving. His mother would blame Shinya for the debts that came of his parents divorce, and his mothers inability to work, as she had to look after him.
When he was 11, his home was repossessed and he went to live with his grandparents. A week later, his mother killed herself, leaving only a note which read "Dear Shinya, It's your fault." Shinya became severely depressed in the following years, and began to self harm and attempted to take his own life.
As he reached his the age of 15, Shinya would dress himself up and sneak out at night, going to clubs and getting high, then having sex with the first stranger he could find. He got into a great many fights during this time, and after one which landed someone in hospital, he was arrested. He was then diagnosed with depression and anger management issues. His grandparents, being rather old fashioned, saw him as a disgrace, which caused his problems to get worse. They soon sent him to Kurayami, and cut of contact with him.

Shinya finished applying the last of his make-up, and took a good look at himself in the mirror. Right now he could see a beautiful teenage boy, somewhat androgynous, looking back at him. Not the usual failure he saw staring back. Not that waste of life. No, this was someone beautiful, who tonight was going to forget everything.
He opened his bedroom window, as quietly as he could, then climbed down the drain pipe and ran to the street. He stood still for a moment, listening for any sound of neighbors outside at night, and heard nothing.
He adjusted his hair then set off in the direction of the town center. Tonight, for once, he was going to have fun
