Stephanie was born to a fairly rich family and was used to getting everything she wanted. From a young age, Stephanie became interested in ballet and she moved to America to study. The pressure from the American ballet teachers caused Stephanie to think seriously about her weight and figure which resulted in her to stop eating except a small amount of fruits and vegetables. To take her mind off of ballet, singing and everything else that put pressure on her, she started to drink, party and take advantage of boys, sober or otherwise.
Upon her return to South Korea, her parents realised how bad her condition was and couldn’t understand at all why she felt she needed to lose weight. They took her to their family doctor and he recommended Kurayami, and although she was reluctant, Stephanie was forced to go as soon as the school year began.
